How Long Is A Lice Removal Treatment?

Treatment times will vary from person to person based on cooperation, severity, length and thickness of hair. Average treatment time is roughly 1.75 hours. Boys treatment times are much shorter. Average time for a boy is 30-45 min.

Head checks take about 15-20 minutes. A re-check is very important part of our lice removal process to ensure you remain lice free. Any evidence of lice or nits found at your follow-up head-check appointments will be treated and removed at no additional cost to you.

• 1st free follow-up recheck must be completed within 5-7 days of initial treatment. If there's no signs of lice, YAY! You are done and clear. If there is any signs of lice we will remove them and do a 2nd follow-up...
• 2nd free follow-up recheck must be completed within 7-10 days after completion of your first free follow-up visit, not to exceed more than 20 days from initial treatment date.

Please note: after initial lice removal treatment and 2 follow-up appointments (or 20 days), all appointments are subject to standard treatment rates.

Nitpickerz does accept your HSA/FSA accounts as a form of payment. Please be sure to verify with your individual accounts before arriving. Upon completion of your appointment, we will provide you with a detailed receipt of your expenses incurred. Please keep this receipt for your records. Your HSA or FSA may ask for this itemization in the future.

General Insurance

Some insurance companies will reimburse for professional lice services. Please advise with your individual insurance providers to see if you will be able to receive reimbursement. We will provide you with any necessary documentation needed for reimbursement.
